It is said that nature maintains it balance. This is very true and it is necessary for us to live in harmony with
nature. When our activities push nature out of balance the results can be very bad. This will result in diseases,
floods, droughts, hurricanes, insect swarms and exceptionally hot and cold weatherwhich will result in great loss
and suffering There are also long term consequences as we are seeing with the effect of global warming and the
erosion of the ozone layer and our beaches right across the island.
A JAP government will give the enviroment priorty attention and enact laws to strengthen the power of the
monitoring agencies such as NEPA and the NRCD. We will also work closely with the NGOs in the protection and
rehabilitation of our environment.
